Sports Therapy Massage is a specialised form of deep massage originally designed for before or after a sports performance, although commonly used for over stretched, painful muscles, caused by incorrect posture. It can be used in a training programme or often as a rehabilitation treatment after injury.An in depth consultation is carried out prior to sports massage.

The massage itself is brisk and short in duration, working specifically on the affected areas only – although both sides of the body are treated to maintain balance. Injuries under 8 days old should not be treated in this way due to the possibility of internal bleeding.
