Dermal Filler for your Face & Lips
Restore and enhance your facial contours with our facial and lip dermal fillers available at our Chelmsford skin clinic
Dermal fillers can be used to treat different areas of the face, including the lips, chin, jaw, cheeks, forehead and nose. Dermal fillers are ideal for dealing with specific issues such as loss of volume, deep lines, anti-ageing, tear troughs, and jowls.
Dermal filler is a substance that can be injected into skin to replace volume loss that occurs with ageing or to enhance areas that may be lacking the ideal volume. Most fillers are made of hyaluronic acid and this is the safest and most natural looking filler. It can always be dissolved if needed.
Fillers can last around 6-18 months, but this depends on the areas of the face that was filled. Filler can wear off more quickly in mobile areas like the lips. Filler that is more dense like those used for cheek bones or jaw line will also last longer.
All Dermal Filler products we use are FDA approved. We only use the best dermal fillers products available on the market all of which are made of Hyaluronic Acid, a perfectly safe water binding molecule that is naturally present in the human body.
What’s the difference between dermal filler and botox?
Botox stops your muscles contracting, meaning wrinkles can’t form as easily when you move your face. But if you have lines when your face isn’t moving, dermal filler can treat the lines and wrinkles that are visible when your face isn’t moving. Dermal filler can also add volume to areas of the face which can become hollow with age. Dermal filler can be applied to areas like your cheeks and under your eyes to create a fuller, more youthful-looking appearance.
What is best out of dermal filler and botox?
Dermal fillers are best for filling in fine wrinkles and adding volume to areas of the face that have become hollow with age. Botox is best for treating prominent individual wrinkles.
If you want to treat deeper wrinkles that show when you frown, Botox may be more appropriate. If you’re looking to treat wrinkles that are present whether or not you move your face, fillers are the best choice. Speak to one of our therapists for a professionals analysis.
