SkinBase IPL laser therapy is one of our most popular aesthetic procedures. IPL stands for intense pulsed light, and it is a form of light therapy, used for various dermatological procedures. It can also be used for hair removal.

Specifically for hair removal, we offer Electrolysis. Electrolysis is a method of removing individual hairs from the face or body. Our clinical device destroys the growth center of the hair with heat energy, and then hair is removed with tweezers.

Unlike other clinics, we do beauty for a living! We only offer products and services that are scientifically researched to be safe and successful, not just because we’ve been told to offer it. Unsure of what you need? Book in for a free consultation.

IPL Laser Hair Removal vs. Electrolysis – what’s the difference?

Laser hair removal and electrolysis are two popular types of long-term hair removal methods. Both work by targeting hair follicles located under the skin’s surface.

Both of the hair removal treatments are extremely versatile. They help inhibit new hair growth for all skin and hair types and used almost anywhere on the body.

Laser therapy and electrolysis both produce longer-lasting effects compared to shaving. Electrolysis seems to work the best for small areas, IPL laser hair removal is good for larger areas of the body. Electrolysis results are more permanent than IPL, but Electrolysis requires more sessions to be effective.
